We've got some exciting news: MRKTBOX has been selected as a Desjardins GoodSpark Grant recipient for 2024!
The Desjardins GoodSpark Grant Program is an initiative designed to support small businesses across Canada. Launched by Desjardins, one of the largest cooperative financial groups in North America, this program offers financial assistance to businesses with innovative projects promoting sustainable development, health and wellness, and positive community impact. Each year, the GoodSpark Grant provides a total of $3 million, distributed among 150 deserving small businesses across Canada.
Many thanks to Desjardins for their recognition and support. We couldn’t be prouder to be among this year’s grant recipients! We’re ready to put the funds to work improving our sustainable, low-emissions home delivery program, and continuing to contribute to the development of a healthy regional food system by connecting our customers with fresh, nutrient-dense food from our region’s best growers and producers.
MRKTBOX isn’t the only exciting recipient this year! Monarch Tea Co. specializes in premium, organic teas, blended right here in Hamilton by certified Tea Sommelier Katie Cyr. Katie plans to use the grant to bring no-cost tea workshops to long-term-care homes and seniors’ centres, helping bring folks together and fight isolation through the power of tea. Monarch teas are a longtime favourite here at MRKTBOX, and we can’t wait to see Monarch Tea Co. continue to grow with the help of this grant.
